Question: How do I know when a document is ready for release?
Answer:
When the stream of comments slows to a trickle and dries up. This indicates that the doc is as good as it’s going to get, and people are starting to forget about it and move onto the next thing.
This isn’t the answer I’d like to give. The correct answer would be “when all designated reviewers sign off on it” but you can wait till the Sun explodes in the sky from old age before this happens. Chasing down reviewers only goes so far.
Also it’s just one rev. If there’s some fatal flaw in there, someone *else* will find it eventually.
